Kintsugi, part 8

Cat knocked over my new tea cup, and it broke into two pieces.
I used sanding tools to increase width of a crack so it would be easier to apply urushi laquer later.


Unfortunately, I damaged the cup even more during sanding, as you can see above.
After that, I applied cyacrine glue to glue two parts together. I know it's not a traditional way, but I had no strength (mostly mental, all due to pressure at work) to do a mugi urushi mix, so... yeah, sorry. 🥲


The enamel coat inside was too easy to chip off
After that, I just used five layers of the black waterproof urushi laquer with some time in my experimental muro box (35° C and very high humidity inside, all to decrease laquer curing time).

I decided to do a shortcut and apply silver powder as soon as possible, and... It's fine, but chipped off enamel otside looks kinda off, so I will probably add more urushi laquer layers in a few weeks. Overall, it is a usable tea cup now!
